The first time they met, they were thirteen years old. When they were fifteen, they parted ways and now they are seventeen.
Suzuki Hikaru is a short boy from a normal family with a great talent for basketball. He spends his days with his tomboyish childhood friend Itou Chihiro who is secretly in love with him. His junior schoolmate Suzuki Shinobu is from a rich family and is the most popular boy at school. He hates Chihiro for daring to humiliate him in school but then he unexpectedly falls in love with her after seeing her hurt by her painful unrequited love for Hikaru.
Hoshino Sayaka just started her first year in junior high but she has no friends from elementary school attending the same school. She is a quiet and shy girl and hides her amazing talent for acting beneath her glasses.
As though by fate, Hikaru and Hoshino meet on the first day of junior high school and slowly, they start to grow closer to each other, eventually experiencing that unknown feeling called love.
